About Us

Futja Ngjyre [FN] is a non-governmental organization based in Mitrovica, Kosovo, dedicated to uniting young people through art and education. With over 400 members, FN aims to raise creative capacities among youth through informal education in art and culture, preparing them for the demands of the national market. We empower volunteerism and youth participation within our projects, while also restoring, functionalizing, and promoting public spaces through art.

PORTFOLIO

During this period, FN organizes several events like Futja Festë where many young people gathered in promotion of art and music. Another project was the "Rinia S’njeh Moshë" project financed by MKRS and its purpose was that young people, in addition to created some murals they also created a flashmob, news for Mitrovica and beyond.

During this year u also developed the initiative "Kthej ngjyrë Shkollës" where 40 students drew murals in the gymnasium.

2016

FN implemented the "Promaja" initiative in 2017, e which was supported by the International Organization of Migration (IOM). Through this initiative they are painted fifteen murals in the streets of South and North Mitrovica, and the camp was held first multiethnic in nature. The biggest impact there was, it was the removal of graffiti with a political theme. During this year, the Nomad Festival Pilot was implemented

In 2018 the idea of Nomad Festival was supported from the American Embassy in Pristina, where we held the first workshops in "Mural Making" in Kosovo by international and local coach.

Like result in a program that lasted 6 months more than 50 young people from different communities were skilled in murals where they created murals in one wall 2km wide.

2018

In 2019, the second edition of NomadFestival was supported by KFOS (Kosovo Foundation for Open Society). During this year, more than 15 murals were created with different themes such as human rights, education and education and these murals united and enabled 30 young people to different communities to show their artistic talent on the walls of Mitrovica.

2021

The third edition of Nomad Festival was held in 2021, supported by the American Embassy in Pristina, which was the largest so far and resulted in 45 participants trained in murals, 15 murals from them, a multi-ethnic camp, an exhibition and a documentary.

It's worth the shallowand the electric music festival in the Saxon church "St. Peter" that gathered over 1000 people and promotes tourism in the Stan-Tergut area.

2022

People Centered Justice was another project supported by USAID developed during 2022 where FN created the largest metal puzzle installation in the region with a height of 4 meters and a width of 4 meters 8 meters containing seven (7) parts where each part contains seven (7) pillars of justice with seven (7)

the different cities of Kosovo. Also during this year, the fourth edition of Nomad was held with the theme "Embrace the Culture".

2023

During the year 2023, FN is implementing two projects: Promaja II and Futja Zanat where: Futja Zanat is a project supported by the US Embassy in Pristina and aimed at to bring together young artists from different ethnic groups, facilitate their connection through informal courses in the profile of print design, cinematography, electro, and sound engineering "Promaja" II, which was financed by

the European Union and the Municipality of Mitrovica and implemented by UNDP, created innovative platforms for the inclusion of young people in the community, such as workshops in "Video-Making" and "Mural Making", but also innovative platforms for the promotion of cultural heritage by the young people themselves who were participants in these workshops, who created the murals, documentary promotional videos and podcasts.
